<title>Outer Suburbs U18 Women's Regional Team Selection</title>
<link>http://www.kewhockey.com/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=442</link>
<description>Outer Suburbs Selection Trials will be held at Doncaster Hockey Ground from 9.00 - 11.00 on Sunday 3 February. All girls trialling MUST be at Doncaster by 8.30 and ready to go on the field at 9.00 sharp. All girls are to bring a WHITE and DARK (preferably black) shirt. No STATE or REPRESENTATIVE gear should be worn.

HV have advised today that the tournament will be held at Footscray. This means a huge savings in costs which will be good for all concerned.

If you are interested in trialling for the U18 team, please could you email at grenvillenicho&#108;&#064;&#111;ptusnet.com before Thursday 31 January so that they can forward the necessary forms before the weekend.</description>

<title>KEW’S INAUGURAL WOMEN’S VETS IN TENSION FILLED, HISTORIC VICTORY!!</title>
<link>http://www.kewhockey.com/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=438</link>
<description>It was a match with much promise – and it didn’t disappoint!! Top of the table Camberwell, knocked off by us two weeks earlier for a spot in the Granny, had only secured their GF spot by virtue of a draw with Altona. What could that mean for Kew vs Camberwell in the Big One?? - A sure fire win for us, or a Camberwell intent on revenge?

<title>Kew Grannies Storm into the Granny!</title>
<link>http://www.kewhockey.com/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=434</link>
<description>There was a pre-match buzz about the change room and a sniff of something in the air – or maybe that was all the talk about socks? Whatever – it was a little like the muster for the Man from Snowy River: that the old Kew spirit was rising, and we had come to play. Perhaps spurred on by Camberwell’s recent loss and our recent draw with them, we knew we could win this.

<link>http://www.kewhockey.com/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=428</link>
<description>The Mighty Barn doors ventured down to Geelong knowing that a loss or draw would destroy the dream of playing finals in consecutive years. And being 3 - 0 nil up at half time, things were looking good with Al, Bluey and Schwarta &quot;doing the business&quot;.

<description>And so it seems, Spring has almost sprung…. There was a lot of talk about endorphins on Monday night, with Liesl declaring that the late hour meant she may even release some during the game! (If you’re looking for a research topic, ask her about the correlation between Maths B and stress release …)

<link>http://www.kewhockey.com/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=424</link>
<description>Thanks to Trish who had the night off to have some culture, the Vets Women went into battle bravely without their usual forward line complete! Early that morning we all opened our mail to read that Gill was ill with a bad cold, what to do!!!!! As Carol, our relieving goalie from last week was unavailable we again drew straws for the challenging keeper position.

<link>http://www.kewhockey.com/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=422</link>
<description>SO after hours of writing these Match Reports, I have discovered certain members of the Team never read them. The research, the long hours sweating over the thesaurus, the battles with writers block… don’t you realise these Reports are the reason I’m not back at work this year?? (I guess at least the non-readers haven’t read the comments I’ve made about them, so maybe they still vote for me occasionally….)
